Secluded cabin in the woods on 2000 feet of shoreline. No neighbors. | Cabin in Holyoke

4 Bedroom Cabin in Pine County, Holyoke
No TV. No Internet. No Wifi. Private lake. Private pond. No neighbors. This 60 acre estate sits on 2000 feet of private shoreline. Miles of hiking trails for a peaceful, private getaway.
This cabin in the woods offers a true getaway. While only 15 minutes from small town conveniences, this property is located in the middle of the Nemadji State Forest and makes up the entire South end of Net Lake, a small 160 acre private lake.
Launch your water craft from our private launch on the lake for skiing. Or hike your canoe to our private pond.
There is a washer and dryer and heater. Bring your own linens for two double/full beds and up to 8 twin beds. Bring your own towels.
The kitchen has a small Brevell Toaster Oven and a separate plug-in stove top. No conventional oven as most of your cooking will be outside where a two-sided charcoal "park grill" and wood fire-pit are set up for camp-style cooking.
Full refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, and microwave make for a very comfortable kitchen experience. Metal forks and plastic plates are available, but feel free to bring paper plates to burn.
No garbage service means you will carry your garbage out with you.
Gafvert Campground is right around the corner. This is a trailhead for ATV enthusiasts.
No ATVs allowed on the 60 acres, but you are free to bring your ATV's to the Campground for enjoyment.
No pets allowed in the cabin or bunkhouse. And pets would need to shelter on the porch or in your vehicles.
The main log cabin with a big porch sits near the lake. The cabin can sleep 6. Nearby is a bunkhouse that can sleep 6 in bunk beds.
There are over 2 miles of walking trails through the woods, around the pond and across the bogs (bog walks). Enjoy the amazing beauty of the natural grasses, trees and water life in the North Woods. Bring a fishing pole or kick up some grouse and woodcock.
This is a hunter's get away as well. Plenty of deer and duck to be had.
This VRBO is ideal for a large family that wants a peaceful getaway. We have intentionally kept all "screen" amenities away from this cabin in the woods. Use this lake house as a way to reset or escape the chaos of city and screen life.
Recommendations for best stay: Plan to camp-cook as much as possible. Prepare any hot-dishes ahead of time in 10 inch square pans (lasagna or casseroles). Tap water is from a well and safe and drinkable but iron-stained, so we recommend bringing in bottled water to drink. Nickerson and Duquette are nearby for "supplies" and even rib dinners (Duquette general store). Moose Lake and Sandstone only 35 minutes away. Duluth is less than an hour.
